SMAD – Smart Adapter with SIM card

SMAD is an optical adapter that incorporate a SIM memory. On this memory is possible to read and write all information related to the optical link of adapter. With this system it can be avoided to identify each link with labels, that often does not remain sticked to each cable and must be replaced every change of connection.

The SMAD can also be used on cases where is not possible to use alternative identification systems, like RFID or barcode labels. The operations of write and read can be done through the “Sm@d™ card reader”, directly connected with bluetooth to a terminal, like smartphone, tablet or PC.

Through these terminals will be also possible to update in real time the databases.
